Challenger V8-5.7L (2010)
1. Is the vehicle equipped with an external power steering cooler as shown in (Fig. 1)
a. Yes >> Proceed to Step # 2 and use p/n 68067353AB.
b. No >> Proceed to Step # 2 and use p/n 68044363AA.
2. Replace the power steering return hose. Following the detailed removal and installation procedures in DealerCONNECT > TechCONNECT under:
Group 19 > Steering > Pump > Hose, Power Steering Return > Removal/Installation > GEAR TO COOLER.
3. Verify the Honk, Hiss or Groan sound is eliminated after power steering return hose installation. Is there still a Honk, Hiss or Groan sound?
a. Yes >> Proceed to Step # 4
b. No >> Proceed to Step # 6
4. Replace the steering gear. Following the detailed removal and installation procedures in DealerCONNECT > TechCONNECT under: Group 19 >
Steering > Gear > Removal / Installation, replace the steering gear based on part number found on the vehicle.
5. Verify the Honk, Hiss or Groan sound is eliminated after gear installation.
6. Return vehicle to the customer.
