Power Steering Pump: Description and Operation

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Hydraulic pressure for operation of the power steering gear is provided by a belt-driven all-aluminum power steering pump. Vehicles with automatic
transmissions use a common droop flow rate and constant displacement type pump that is mounted in a common location (left front of engine). The
SRT8 with an automatic transmission has a constant-flow type power steering pump but appears the same externally and is mounted in the same location
as others.
