Front Door Hinge: Service and Repair
Front Door Hinge - Removal
REMOVAL
1. Remove the door (1) from the vehicle. See: Service and Repair
2. Mark the upper or lower hinge bracket location on the outside of the lower A-pillar to aid installation.
3. Using a door spring compression tool (2), remove the door spring (1) from the upper hinge.
NOTE: Upper hinge shown, lower hinge similar.
4. Remove the fasteners (1, 2) that secure the hinge bracket to the outside of the lower A-pillar.
5. Remove the hinge bracket from the A-pillar.
