Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Release the fuel pressure, refer to the Fuel Pressure Release Procedure. See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair
2. Disconnect negative battery cable from battery (1).
CAUTION: The fuel level of the vehicle must be below 5/8 of a tank before you remove the module lock-rings. If the fuel level is above 5/8 of a
tank, fuel can spill into the vehicle.
3. Partially drain the tank through the filler tube. Use a hard nylon tube with a 30° cut on the end to push past the check valve.
