Lubricate Special Tool C-4789 (Figure 9) with power steering fluid and insert the valve and pinion assembly into the tool (Figure 10). This will
resize the sealing rings to the proper size.

If the pinion lower seal requires replacement, remove the lower seal using Special Tool C-4694 (Figure 12).
