1.

Remove oil filter, then the 7 oil pump attaching screws and pull assembly from block.

2.

Remove distributor and drive housing. Mark crankcase in relation to drive slot,.

3.

Remove distributor drive from drive shaft spindle using a suitable magnet, Fig. 9.

4.

Remove shaft drive gear circlip. Insert a shop towel into cavity around gear to prevent circlip from falling into crankcase during removal
or installation.

5.

Move driveshaft toward pump side of crankcase with a tapping motion until gear is free of spline, and remove gear.

6.

Remove fuel pump and tappets, noting location of tappets to facilitate proper installation.

7.

Remove camshaft thrust plate and camshaft.

8.

Reverse procedure to install.
