Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1.
Drain engine oil.
2.
Remove 16 oil pan attaching screws, oil pan and gasket.
3.
Clean pan and gasket surfaces.
4.
Install new gasket and reinstall pan.
5.
Torque oil pan attaching screws to 9.4 ft. lbs. (111 inch lbs.) for 1983---84 models or 7.4 ft. lbs. (89 inch lbs.) for 1985---86 models.
6.
Refill engine oil.
