5. Remove the outer rear input shaft seal (1) 

6. Remove the rear output flange (1) from the input shaft.
7. Remove the inner rear input shaft seal. 

Front Input Shaft Seal - Installation

FRONT

1. Use 10173 Seal Installer (1) to install the front input shaft seal into the front case half (2).
2. Install the transfer case See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/BW 44-40 Transfer Case - Installation
