4. Install the rear output flange washer (1)
5. Install the rear output flange nut.
6. Install Holder 6958 (1) onto the rear output flange (2). Tighten the rear output flange nut to 319 Nm (235 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the rear propeller shaft See: Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair/Propeller Shaft -
Installation
Output Shaft Seal - Removal
REMOVE
1. Remove the transfer case See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/BW 44-40 Transfer Case - Removal.
NOTE: The vent hole is near the input shaft hub. If the unit is set on the mounting surface, oil will drain out through the vent.
