Flash: MIL Illumination - DTC P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to models equipped with a 3.5L Engine, A580 Automatic Transmission and California Emissions (sales code EGG/DGJ and
NAE) built on or before May 2, 2006 (MDH 0502XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle operator may experience MIL illumination with no other symptoms or conditions experienced. This condition may occur intermittently and
can be difficult to duplicate.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (StarSCAN(R)) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all engine systems are functioning as
designed. If DTC's are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the vehicle is brought in due to MIL illumination and DTC P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire was recorded, perform the Repair Procedure.
