Crankshaft Seal Retainer: Service and Repair
Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Retainer - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2. Remove the transmission.
3. Remove the flexplate See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flex Plate/Service and Repair/Removal.
4. Remove the oil pan See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Pan/Service and Repair/Engine Oil Pan - Removal.
5. Remove the rear oil seal retainer mounting bolts.
6. Carefully remove the retainer from the engine block.
