Power Steering Pump - Installation
5.7L/6.1L
1. Align pump (1) with mounting holes on engine.
2. Install three pump mounting bolts (2) through access holes in pulley. Tighten bolts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.) torque.
NOTE: Always use a NEW O-ring on the end of the pressure hose.
3. Lubricate NEW O-ring on end of pressure hose with clean power steering fluid.
4. Install pressure hose (2) to pump (1). Tighten pressure hose tube nut to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.) torque.
