Shifter A/T: Service and Repair
NAG1 - Shift Mechanism - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Remove any necessary console parts for access to shift lever assembly and shifter cables. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Floor Console - Removal

2. Shift transmission into PARK.
3. Disconnect the transmission shift cable (1) at shift lever (3) and shifter assembly bracket (2).
4. Remove the shift cable retainer (2) from the notch in the shifter assembly (2).

5. Disengage all wiring connectors (2) from the shifter assembly (1).

6. Remove all nuts (2) holding the shifter assembly (1) to the floor pan.
7. Remove the shifter assembly (1) from the vehicle.
