Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection
PRESSURE TEST:
1. Disconnect the hose at the carburetor and connect a fuel pressure gauge.
Fuel Pump Pressure Test
2. Disconnect the fuel return hose from the pump and plug the fuel pump return pipe as shown in illustration.
3. Check pressure while the engine is running.
Pressure @ 1,250 RPM:
2.76-3.63 psi
(0.19-0.26 kg/cm.sq.)
4. Replace the pump, if required.
WARNING: DO NOT smoke or permit an open flame near gasoline or its vapors.
