Using tool No. MB990665 or equivalent, and a suitable vise, remove bearings from caliper.

Remove guide pin boot and lock pin boot from caliper body.

9.

Inspect cylinder and piston for wear or damage and/or corrosion. Inspect caliper body and sleeve for wear.

10.

Apply a suitable grease to caliper bearings.

11.

Using a suitable vise and tool No. MB990665 or equivalent, press bearings in until it is flush with caliper body.

12.

Install new piston seal into cylinder, then coat piston seal and inside surface of cylinder.

13.

Install piston assembly into cylinder.

14.

Apply suitable grease to dust boot fitting groove in caliper body, then install new dust boot and boot ring.

15.

Coat spindle seal with brake fluid, then install washers on spindle.

16.

Coat contact surface of caliper body and spring washers with suitable grease, then screw spindle into caliper body until it rotates freely.

17.

Using tool No. MB990666 or equivalent and a suitable vise, compress spring washers and screw spindle into caliper.

18.

Position connecting link and return spring onto spindle and install lever cap to parking lever assembly, then install assembly into caliper body.
Hold parking lever assembly with retaining ring.

19.

Apply suitable grease to lever cap and lip, then install lever cap to caliper body.

20.

Coat contact point of caliper support guide pin and inside of lock pin boot with suitable grease, then install caliper body to caliper support.

21.

Install caliper assembly.
