SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Transmission noisy and/or difficult to shift. Shifting difficulties will be noticed when attempting to shift into 5th gear on 5-speed transmission, or when
shifting from "P" to "E" or "E" to "P" on 4 x 2 transmission.

DIAGNOSIS
Road test vehicle to confirm the noise and/or shifting difficulties. The problem could be caused by the staked input shaft nut loosening (Figure 1).

REPAIR PROCEDURE
It will be necessary to replace the input shaft staked nut.
