Radiator Cooling Fan Temperature Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection
1. Remove temperature switch from radiator.
Engine Coolant Temperature Switch Test.
2. Immerse switch in warm water and connect ohmmeter as shown.
3. Check for continuity as temperature of water changes.
4. On 1.8L engines, with water temperature between 178 - 190 °F, continuity should exist between terminals of switch. With water temperature of
171 °F or less, continuity should not exist.
