Manual Transaxle - 1.4 and 1.6 Liter Engines
Locate vehicle safety certification label mounted on driver side body door opening below striker plate. All vehicles with date code before 1-83,
install Sub-Harness Assembly, PN MB338249, as shown in Figure 3.
Install tachometer and prepare vehicle for the following idle setting conditions:

Bring engine to full operating temperature.
^
All lights and accessories off.
^
Transaxle in neutral.
^
Parking brake applied.
^
Radiator fan off (disconnect if necessary).
