Please note as shown in Figures 4 and 5, that there are two throttle opener adjusting screws. Figure 4 shows the primary adjusting screw. Figure 5 shows
the secondary adjustment screw.
1.
Be certain curb idle is set to emissions label specifications. Adjust if necessary. (Idle set screw location - Figure 4.)
2.
Turn primary adjusting screw (Figure 4) to its full "in" position. Then back off five full turns.
3.
Tighten secondary throttle opener adjusting screw (Figure 5) until engine speed is above curb idle specification.
4.
Back off secondary adjusting screw to curb idle specification. Then back off additional 1/4 turn.
5.
Turn air conditioning on:

Set air selector lever to "inside" position.

Set blower motor speed on "low".
^
Push in A/C button.
6.
Using primary throttle opener adjusting screw (Figure 4), set engine speed to 850 + or - 50.
7.
Reconnect radiator fan if disconnected.
8.
Turn on and off air conditioning switch several times to check up and down operation of throttle opener.
NOTE:
WHEN A/C CYCLES OFF OR WHEN ANY ELECTRICAL DEVICE IS OPERATED, THE THROTTLE OPENER SYSTEM
WILL KEEP ENGINE SPEED AT APPROXIMATELY 1100-1200 RPM.
