the drive axle repair kit and must be used.
1. Apply gear oil to drive axle, then install double offset joint and Birfield joint boots. Wrap tape around drive axle splines to prevent damage to
boots.
2. Apply special Molybdenum grease to double offset joint inner race and cage, then assemble race and cage, aligning raised portions on race with
bearing holes on cage.
3. Apply special Molybdenum grease to cage, then position ball bearings into cage.
4. Install inner race cage and bearings on drive axle with chamfered side of cage facing splined end of shaft, then install snap ring.
5. Apply 1.4-2.1 ounces of special Molybdenum grease to double offset joint outer race, then position outer race on drive axle.
6. Apply an additional 0.7-1.4 ounce of special Molybdenum grease to outer race, then install clip.
7. Add amount of special Molybdenum grease to Birfield joint as removed during disassembly and inspection.

8. Install boots and boot bands for each joint. When installing boot bands for double offset joint, position bands, so that dimension A is 3.2 inches on
models less turbocharger or 3.3 inches on models with turbocharger.
