Disassembly
1. Remove double offset joint boot band, then remove snap ring using a suitable screwdriver.
2. Remove drive axle from double offset joint, then clean grease from shaft and joint.
3. Remove snap ring, then remove double offset joint inner race, cage and bearings as an assembly. Clean bearing assembly and disassemble bearing
if necessary.
4. Wind tape around drive axle splines, then remove Birfield joint boot band and slide boot from drive axle. When inspecting Birfield joint, note
amount of grease removed for reassembly.
