Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1.
Release fuel system pressure as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/Fuel System Pressure Relief.
2.
Drain engine coolant into a suitable container.

Remove intake manifold in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 10 removing the fuel rail assembly keeping injectors and regulator attached.
INSPECTION
Begin by checking manifold for damage. On 2.4L engines, check the air intake plenum as well. When parts appear to be sound, proceed to check them
