Hall Effect Sensor: Service and Repair

Hall Effect Pick-Up Removal And Installation

REMOVAL

1.

Disconnect hall effect pick-up leads at wire harness connector. Remove distributor cap and rotor.

2.

Remove both hall effect pick-up attaching screws on opposite sides of the distributor housing and carefully lift the hall effect pick-up assembly
from the distributor housing.

INSTALLATION

1.

Place the hall effect pick-up assembly into the distributor housing and align with housing.

2.

Attach both mounting screws and tighten.

3.

Install distributor rotor and cap. Connect hall effect pick-up leads at wire harness connector.

4.

Set timing, refer to ADJUSTMENTS PROCEDURES.
