The brake warning lamp vacuum switch used on the subject vehicles has been replaced by a switch with a lower actuation pressure. This will prevent
unnecessary actuation of the instrument panel brake warning lamp, which sometimes occurs during repeated brake applications while the vehicle is
moving downhill. The effective date of this change was May, 1984.
Old and new switches are interchangeable. See the chart for vacuum switch modifications.
