DISASSEMBLE
Refer to Fig. 18, when removing piston and rod assembly. Keep all components, such as connecting rod caps and bearings, in proper order for
installation.
INSPECTION
The piston and rod is assembled with the indented arrow on the piston and the embossed numeral on the rod facing toward front of engine, Fig. 19.
ASSEMBLE
1.
Position each piston ring gap as far apart as possible.
2.
Ensure that each piston and rod are installed in the same cylinder bore as removed.
3.
Ensure that connecting rod caps and bearings are placed on proper connecting rods, then tighten bolts to specification.
