Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair
1.
Loosen fuel filler cap to release fuel tank pressure.
2.
Disconnect injector wiring harness connector from engine or main harness.
3.
Connect a jumper between ground terminal No. 1 (lefthand terminal) of disconnected injector harness connector and engine ground.
4.
Connect jumper wire to positive terminal No. 2 (righthand terminal) of disconnected injector harness connector, then connect jumper wire to
positive battery terminal for no more than five seconds. This releases fuel system pressure.
5.
Disconnect jumper wires.
