Remove the rear of the control arm. If the pivot shaft contacts the mounting bracket, rotate it for additional clearance as shown in Figure 2.

If the arm cannot be removed by following Steps 1 through 3, loosen the front ten body mounting nuts or screws as shown in Figure 3. Do not
loosen the four screws at the rear.

Use a floor jack to raise the body approximately 5 mm (.2") as shown in Figure 4, and remove the control arm.

6.

Reverse the procedure to reinstall the upper control arm.
