Clutch Slave Cylinder: Service and Repair
Fig. 5 Clutch Master & Slave Cylinder Replacement
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain fluid from hydraulic clutch system.
3. Remove clutch master and slave cylinders in numbered sequence shown.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a.
Apply a coat of Mitsubishi grease No. 0101011, or equivalent to contact parts of release fork and cylinder pushrod.
b.
Ensure clutch hoses do not twist when tightening connections.
c.
Check all connections for leaks.
d.
Apply multipurpose grease to pedal shaft, spacer, clevis pin, turnover spring and bushing.
e.
Bleed and adjust clutch system.
