Brake Pad: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1.
Drain approximately 1/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder.
2.
Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
3.
Remove lockpin bolt. then lift caliper assembly upward. Support caliper assembly with wire to prevent damage to brake hose.
4.
Remove inner shim, anti-squeak shim and brake pad assemblies from support mounting.
INSTALLATION
1.
Press caliper piston into caliper bore using a suitable tool.
2.
Install pad clips, pad assemblies, inner shims and anti-squeak shims into support mounting.
3.
Install caliper, then the lock bolts.
4.
Depress brake pedal several times to seat pads, then check and replenish brake fluid as necessary.
5.
Install wheel and tire assembly and lower vehicle.
