Power Steering Pressure Switch: Testing and Inspection

1.

Disconnect power steering oil pressure switch connector.

2.

Start engine, then, using a suitable ohmmeter, check continuity between pressure switch terminal body and body ground when steering wheel is
operated.

3.

With steering wheel in a straight ahead position, ohmmeter should indicate infinity.

4.

With steering wheel turned, ohmmeter should indicate 33 ohms or less resistance.

5.

If resistance is not as specified, replace defective pressure switch.
