Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

1.

Lower the level of the engines coolant to below the intake manifold, by draining a partial amount into a clean container.

2.

Remove the accelerator cable mounting bolts and disconnect it from the throttle body. 

3.

Disconnect the vacuum hoses and the air intake hose from the throttle body.

4.

Disconnect the TPS and the ISC Servo electrical connectors.

5.

Disconnect the water hoses.

6.

Remove the throttle body attaching bolts.
Make a note of the lengths of each bolt and their designated hole.

NOTE: a.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

Be sure to refill the engine's coolant to the proper level.
