SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Some early subject model vehicles built prior to August, 1982 may have an incorrect hood support rod bumper. This condition can result in a rattle.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Raise hood and check dimension of bumper, refer to Figure 1. Replace with new bumper PN MB270300 if dimension is not correct.

If hood support rod does not seat properly, bend rod slightly as shown in Figure 2.
