The best means for adhesive application is with a finger. However, a protective glove or other covering must be used to prevent direct contact of
the adhesive with the skin. (See the precautions printed on the adhesive package.) A separate applicator such as a tongue depressor may also be
used, taking care to apply the adhesive uniformly.

Check with a mirror to ensure the epoxy application is adequate to retain the plug.

Following repair, start the engine and let it operate to normal operating temperature to help the epoxy cure in place before the vehicle is driven
away.

REIMBURSEMENT Complete the recall Claim Form promptly for each vehicle serviced. (See Chapter 6, 1980 Warranty Policy and Procedure Manual,
for complete claim processing instructions.)
If a claim form is not available, use a WRO, (one WRO per claim). Fill in the labor operation number and time allowance and identify the claim as
"RECALL #333 - MMC 2.6L ENGINE CAMSHAFT PACKING PLUG RETENTION". Do not include other non-recall claims on the same WRO.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION RECALL - ENGINE PLUG RETENTION

Dear Chrysler Import Vehicle Owner:

Your 2.6L engine-equipped vehicle, identified on the enclosed Claim Form, requires a special engine repair. Preventive repair now will do two things:
one, keep you from being inconvenienced, and two, avoid expensive engine damage.

The repair is easy and can be performed quickly by your dealer -- less than a half hour. The repair is needed to positively secure a camshaft packing plug,
located at the rear of the engine. If the plug were to loosen and come out, engine oil would slosh out through the open hole. Loss of engine oil could
result in major engine damage.

Instructions for the repair service along with special repair kits have been forwarded to every Chrysler-Plymouth and Dodge Dealer. Please call your
dealer, as quickly as possible, and make an appointment for this important repair service. The service can be performed quickly and it's free. Take the
enclosed Claim Form with you and give it to your dealer. It will be used by the dealer and Chrysler to record the repair completion.

If you have any difficulty getting the recall service, please contact the Chrysler Zone Office in your area. (It is listed under "Service Assistance" in your
Operator's Manual.) The Zone Office will arrange for prompt repair of your car.
