SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Customer concern, of oil leak at transfer case vent area..

DIAGNOSIS

Check oil level and adjust to proper oil level. Inspect transfer case vent for leakage. If leakage from the vent is evident do the following:

Note:

This bulletin does not apply to trucks built after December 1, 1982.

Parts Required:

1 - Vent       PN MD712895

1.

Remove rubber transfer case vent by pulling the vent out of housing.

Install the new vent with the indexing in the 9:00 position as shown in Figure 1.
