Ignition Switch: Service and Repair
Removal
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
On models with tilt steering, remove tilt lever.
3.
On all models, remove upper and lower covers, then ignition switch mounting screws using a suitable Torx tool.
4.
Remove switch from column, then seven terminal connector from switch.
5.
Remove key in switch and halo light four terminal connector from ignition switch.
6.
Remove key cylinder from switch as follows:
a. Insert key and ensured switch is in lock position.
