This repair only applies to vehicles with carburetor PN 4306425.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Cold start up dieouts.
DIAGNOSIS
While vehicle is cold, disconnect and plug vacuum hose to EGR valve and start vehicle. If vehicle does not die out, continue with repair procedure. If it
does die out, perform drive test procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
This repair involves installing a valve to control EGR during cold engine operation.
1.
Remove and discard existing engine vacuum harness. Retain the vapor harness and vacuum lines on the air cleaner.
