Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove steering column cover, then the steering wheel pad from steering wheel.
3. Disconnect horn electrical connector from horn pad.
4. Remove steering wheel nut, then the steering wheel using suitable puller.
5. Pry wiring trough from steering column, then remove wiring from trough.
6. Disconnect wash/wipe switch connector, intermittent wipe module connector and speed control connector.
7. Remove lock housing cover to lock housing attaching screws, then the cover.
8. Remove wipe/wash switch assembly.
9. Pull the hider up the control stalk, then remove stalk to switch attaching screws.

Remove wipe/wash switch control knob from end of stalk, then rotate control stalk to full clockwise position and remove stalk.
11.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque steering wheel nut to 45 ft. lbs.
