The vacuum pump and power steering pump used on the Cummins Turbo Diesel is one assembly and is driven from a common shaft from the front gear
train. To service the vacuum pump, the complete assembly must be removed from the front gear housing. On 1992 models, the vacuum pump is not
serviceable and must be replaced as a unit.
