Remove the protective boot and the 17 mm vent fitting from the injection pump (Figure 2). NOTE: INSPECT THE PROTECTIVE BOOT VENT
NIPPLE TO MAKE SURE VENT HOLE IS OPEN. IF VENT HOLE IS CLOSED, CUT THE END OF THE VENT NIPPLE TO EXPOSE
VENT HOLE.

Install the balloon over the nipple of the vent fitting, Figure 3. Visually inspect the balloon for holes or tears after installation. Install the vent
fitting into the pump housing, finger tight.

Apply air pressure until approximately 41"-48" H20 is observed on the gauge. Loosen vent fitting to bleed air from the balloon and collapse the
balloon by hand. Tighten vent fitting finger tight.

7.

Slowly increase air pressure until the balloon begins to inflate. Repeat this three times or until a consistent reading is obtained.

NOTE:
WHEN APPLYING AIR PRESSURE, IT IS IMPORTANT TO WATCH THE MOVEMENT OF THE BALLOON AND AT THE SAME TIME BE
AWARE OF THE GAUGE READINGS.

** The gauge specification is 52" to 64" H20. If the reading on the gauge is outside this range, proceed with the adjustment procedure.

To Adjust LDA Pretention:

1.

Turn pressure test balloon gauge regulator knob counterclockwise to lower air pressure at gauge to zero. CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE
ADJUSTING KNOB ON THE GAUGE ASSEMBLY IS TURNED FULLY COUNTERCLOCKWISE OR DAMAGE TO THE GAUGE WILL
RESULT.

2.

Remove vent fitting (with balloon) from the pump.
