Fuel Injector Replacement

REMOVAL

Removing Fuel Injector Caps

1.

Fuel system pressure release must be performed prior to service.  See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair

2.

Disconnect negative battery terminal, and remove air cleaner.

3.

Remove the screw holding down the injector cap clamp and lift the top cap off each injector.
NOTE: Be careful not to lose the loose spacer under the fuel injector cap clamp.

Place a small screwdriver in the hole in the front of the electrical connector and gently pry the injector from the throttle body.  Make sure the
injector O-ring comes out of the throttle body with the injector.
