Crankshaft Seal Retainer: Service and Repair

REAR CRANKSHAFT SEAL HOUSING AND SEAL - REPLACEMENT

Remove the rear seal housing and gasket.

Support the seal area of the rear seal housing and press/drive out the seal.

Clean the rear seal housing.

REAR SEAL HOUSING - INSTALLATION

Clean and dry the rear crankshaft sealing surface.

NOTE:  The seal lip and the sealing surface on the crankshaft must be free from all oil residue to prevent seal leaks.
