Reposition the shrink wrap tubing so that the splice is centered inside the shrink wrap. Heat the tubing, using an approved heat gun only, to
shrink and seal the splice.
8.
Retape the wiring harness over the splices to a point approximately 1.5" from the connector.
9.
Replace the oxygen sensor using PN 5233088 as listed in PARTS REQUIRED. Tighten the oxygen sensor to 23 N-m (20 ft.lbs.) of torque.
Connect the oxygen sensor harness connector to the body wiring connector.
10.
Reconnect battery, connect the DRB II tester, and start the vehicle. Check for oxygen sensor fault messages to verify correction of the
SYMPTOM/CONDITION.
