1.
On 1990-92 models, Retract Idle Speed Control (ISC) actuator with jumper wire as follows:
a.
Ensure engine is shut Off, then disconnect electrical connector at ISC actuator.
b.
Connect pair of jumper wires to battery, then negative jumper to top pin of ISC and positive jumper to second pin of actuator.
c.
Leave jumpers connected for no more than 5 seconds, then disconnect. Actuator is now fully retracted.
2.
On all models, raise and support vehicle, then loosen adjustable swivel lock screw, Figs. 12 through 14. Ensure swivel slides freely on throttle
rod so that return spring action is not restricted. If necessary, disassemble and clean or repair parts to assure free action.
3.
Hold transmission throttle lever firmly forward against its internal stop and torque swivel lock screw to specifications.
4.
Lower vehicle and test linkage operation by moving throttle rod rearward and slowly releasing it making certain that it returns fully.
5.
On 1990-92 models, reconnect ISC actuator, then reposition for normal operation as follows:
a.
Turn ignition to On position for minimum 5 seconds, do not start engine.
b.
Turn ignition switch to Off position. Actuator is now positioned for normal operation.
