NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a 2.5L engine ("P" in the 8th VIN position) built through October 26, 2000 (MDH
1026XX).
Subject
The evaporative canister purge orifice on about 1,960 of the above vehicles was inadvertently omitted. This could cause the vehicle to have driveability
problems and/or to emit hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) levels that exceed Federal and/or California emission standards.
Repair
An evaporative canister purge hose orifice must be installed in the purge hose located between the engine and the evaporative canister.
