6. Remove the lower ball joint nut, then separate the lower ball joint (3) from the steering knuckle (1) using puller 8677 (2).
7. Remove the steering knuckle See: Front Steering Knuckle/Service and Repair/Front Steering Knuckle - Removal.
8. Move the halfshaft to the side and support the halfshaft out of the way 4X4 only.
9. Remove the snap ring (3) from the ball joint flange (2).
