Engine Block Heater: Service and Repair
Engine Block Heater - Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Install block drain plugs.
2. Thoroughly clean cylinder block core hole and block heater seat.
3. Insert block heater assembly with element loop pointing at twelve o'clock.
4. With block heater fully seated, tighten center screw to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.) torque.
5. Refill cooling system See: Cooling System/Service and Repair.
6. Start and warm the engine. Check for leaks.
