Brake Pad: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Clean master cylinder reservoir and filler caps, then remove caps and drain approximately 1/4 of fluid from reservoir using a suitable suction tool.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheel.
3. Using a large C-clamp positioned over caliper body and outboard brake pad, bottom caliper piston by threading clamp screw inward upon
outboard pad.
4. Remove caliper slide pins, then the caliper with brake pads attached.

5. Remove outboard brake pad from caliper as shown, then remove inboard pad by tilting pad outward until retaining spring clears caliper piston.
