Oil Pump: Service and Repair
Oil Pump Replacement
1.
Raise engine See: Oil Pan
2.
Remove oil pan.
3.
Remove oil pump from rear main bearing cap.
4.
Reverse procedure to install, rotating pump body to ensure proper driveshaft to pump rotor engagement.
5.
Hold the oil pump base flush against mating surface on No.4 main bearing cap. Finger tighten pump attaching bolts. Tighten attaching bolts to 41
N.m (30 ft. lbs.) torque.
