Door Lock Switch: Testing and Inspection
Switch Voltage Test
NOTE: The following tests determine whether voltage is continuous through the wiring harness to the power door lock switches.
1.
Remove the door lock switch from the left door trim panel.
2.
Separate the multiple terminal block on the wiring harness from the door lock switch.
3.
Connect one lead of a test light to the black wire terminal and the other lead to the red wire terminal. If the test light illuminates, the wiring circuit
between the battery and switch is functioning properly. If the test light does not illuminate, check the 20 amp main fuse or check for an open in the
wiring harness.
