Connect the left and right brake tubes to the new brake hose (Figure 6). Tighten the brake tube fittings to 145 in-lbs (16 Nm).

Install the other end of the brake hose into the mounting bracket and install the retaining clip (Figure 5).
13.
Connect the rear chassis brake tube to the rear brake hose (Figure 5). Tighten the brake tube fitting to 145 in-lbs (16 Nm).
14.
Bleed the left and right rear brake circuits as follows:
a. Attach a clear plastic hose to the right rear bleeder screw and feed the hose into a clear jar containing enough fresh brake fluid to submerge the
end of the hose.
b. Have a helper pump the brake pedal three or four times and then hold it in the down position.
c. With the pedal in the down position, open the bleeder screw at least one full turn.
d. Once the brake pedal has dropped, close the bleeder screw. After the bleeder screw is closed, release the brake pedal.
e. Repeat steps b through d until all trapped air is removed from the right rear brake circuit (usually four or five times).
f.
Repeat steps a through e for the left rear brake circuit.
15.
Top off the master cylinder with brake fluid and inspect brake hose connections to insure that there are no leaks.
16.
Continue with Section E - Reposition and Clip the Rear Axle Vent Hose.
E. Reposition and Clip the Rear Axle Vent Hose
1.
Disconnect the vent hose from the nipple on the rear axle housing (Figure 7).
2.
Mark the vent hose 3" (75 mm) from the end of the hose that was disconnected from the axle (Figure 7). Cut the vent hose at the mark and discard
the cut-off piece.
3.
Mark the vent hose 4" (100 mm) from the new cut end.
4.
Connect the vent hose to the axle nipple.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure that the vent hose is NOT routed between the rear brake hose and the wiring harness as shown in Figure 7.
